Social Activist, Robin Wiszowaty, Visits ISLA Academy

As ISLA Homeschool Academy students dig deeper into their "Green" unit, in which they are exploring ways to lesson their footprint, raise consciousness on environmental issues, and give back to their communities, we were so excited to have a visit by Robin Wiszowaty of Free the Children and Me to We. Ms. Robin shared with us stories of her transformational year living with the Maasai tribe in rural Kenya, and how it opened her eyes and heart to the reality of the global injustices that impact our planet. Our students were able to share their projects and discuss ways in which each of us can change our perspective from me to WE. Thank you Ms. Robin for taking the time to inspire us all!
